Our client, a leading international asset management group with a significant presence in Luxembourg, is seeking an experienced consultant to support them on an interim basis for an initial period of 3 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly regulated investment organisation while they recruit a permanent employee.

Role Overview

The role will oversee external and internal investment managers, maintain an effective oversight and control framework, and provide assurance to senior management and relevant governance committees.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform portfolio management oversight activities for the Luxembourg management company.
• Monitor and challenge delegated investment managers to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Assess the ongoing suitability and capability of delegated investment managers.
• Monitor investment performance, incidents, risks, breaches and remediation actions, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the portfolio management oversight framework, policies and controls.
• Ensure appropriate consideration of sustainability and ESG-related regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc governance reporting for senior management, committees and board meetings.
• Coordinate and lead periodic investment oversight meetings covering performance, incidents, risks and emerging issues.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of due diligence, KPIs, oversight reporting and other required information.
• Maintain effective relationships with delegated investment managers and key stakeholders.

Experience & Skills

• Experience within investment management, asset management, fund oversight, investment risk or a related control function.
• Strong understanding of European investment management regulation and delegated investment management oversight.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ESG-related regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing governance reporting and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide effective challenge and operate confidently within a highly regulated environment.
