One of our clients in Luxembourg is searching for a Senior Java Developer to join their team and support the evolution and modernisation of their partner connectivity applications.
The Senior Java Developer will play a key role in maintaining and improving the technical foundations of existing applications while contributing to new projects. This is a cross-functional role requiring strong technical expertise in software quality, performance, security, and resilience.
Required Tasks;
- Analysing incidents and resolving complex bugs through log analysis, monitoring tools, and root cause analysis.
- Managing version upgrades and obsolescence-related activities autonomously while effectively prioritising tasks.
- Identifying opportunities to improve application architecture, performance, and observability.
- Implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including Security by Design principles and vulnerability management.
- Contributing technical expertise to modernisation and redesign initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with web and mobile interfaces.
- Producing technical documentation and supporting test automation to ensure smooth and reliable production deployments.
Required previous skills;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Java (17+) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot and Spring Security).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess code quality, architecture, and operational risks.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on clean code, error handling, and test coverage.
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Proficiency with MS SQL databases and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and/or the ELK stack.
- Experience working with OpenShift and GitLab CI within a DevOps environment.
Please note that this position requires regular onsite presence in Luxembourg.
