Our client a well known Global Asset Manager, are searching for an interim Financial Accountant to join them initially for 3 months, however with the possibility to renew.
The selected individual will be responsible for both the development and analysis for revenue recognition control procedures for various business lines. You will provide guidance to business partners across finance, FP&A, Fund Accounting & Legal teams. You would be expected to act as the SME especially in relation to revenue recognition under ASC 606.
Tasks to include:
- Communicating with counterparties, reviewing monthly accruals and explaining the monthly communication of revenue for variance to budget, and preparing revenue accounting memos for material transactions.
- Reviewing the accounts receivable ageing analysis to identify any outstanding invoices that need to be collected.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure that all billed and unbilled revenue balances are settled.
- Preparation of Accounting memos to document how revenue is recognise
Skills required:
- Chartered Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA)
- Minimum of 6 years working with a Senior Accounting Position.
- US GAAP experience in particular with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition ideally within Asset Management (AUM, performance fees)
- Project coordination and automation
Please note, this position is for somebody to start quickly, therefore eligibility to work in the UK is required. Also, this position is inside of IR35
