Our client is seeking a consultant for an initial 9-month contract to support and maintain critical digital platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. The role will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, driving incident resolution and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support for customer-facing applications and services.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex incidents and technical issues.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and availability, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse system metrics and operational data to support troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and capacity planning.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management activities to maintain service continuity.
- Coordinate and prioritise operational workloads, supporting effective team delivery.
- Coach and support team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and development teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and service delivery.
- Contribute to operational governance, service performance measurement, and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting production environments, technical operations, platform support, or site reliability functions.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and modern deployment practices.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), security technologies (SSL/TLS, OAuth2), CI/CD tools (GitLab, Ansible, Terraform), Kubernetes, ELK, SQL and NoSQL databases, and REST APIs. Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational support tools.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, and scripting tools.
- Demonstrates ownership, accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to operational excellence.
- French & English speaking required, any other language will be considered an asset.
